Top Drops at Hayman Wine Weekends
October 5, 2011Hayman is partnering with top Australian wineries for a series of gourmet weekends in November to be presented at this acclaimed Great Barrier Reef destination, renowned for its unique and memorable culinary experiences.
Throughout the month, Hayman will provide guests with the opportunity to engage with food and wine professionals in an exclusive, private setting featuring the four wineries – Cape Mentelle, Majella, Bimbadgen and Kilikanoon.
Each weekend will play host to one of the wineries, showcasing the best regional food and wine from around the country making it the ultimate indulgent escape. The weekend commences on Friday night with a Cocktail Reception hosted by Hayman General Manager, Shane Green and the winery representative, followed by a 3-course dinner at Australia’s signature resort restaurant, Fontaine.
On Saturday, guests can enjoy a romantic Hayman Signature Food and Wine Pairing Picnic for two, hosted by Hayman’s Sommelier. Guests will then attend an exclusive educational wine tasting with the winery representative.
At night, The Chef’s Table, a legendary 6-course dining experience, will be hosted by Hayman Executive Chef, Glenn Bacon and the winery, and include a visit to the Hayman Chocolate Room and Hayman Cellar.

Cost is $600 per person (adults only) and includes the General Manager’s Cocktail Reception, dinner in Fontaine, Signature Food and Wine Pairing Picnic, Wine Tasting with Wine Master, The Chef’s Table and a complimentary signed gift from the winery.
Hayman Escape packages are priced from $885 per person twin share including 3 nights’ accommodation and daily beachfront breakfast.
