MASSAGE

Remedial Massage
1 hour or 1½ hours
By definition, this is an outcome based massage which means we will be working with a specific injury/symptom or tension pattern to try to improve mobility/pain/discomfort levels. The pressure with this style will be variable ranging from light tissue warming to firm deep muscular work.

Deep Tissue Massage
1 hour or 1½ hours
Deep Tissue is very similar to Remedial with the main difference being that it is less focused on specific areas and more of a general full body massage. This is not recommended for guests who do not have regular massage as it can leave you quite tender afterwards if you are not used to it.

Swedish Massage
1 hour or 1½ hours
Swedish the most common style of relaxation massage which incorporates alot of long flowing strokes to promote a deep state of tranquillity. This massage like all other styles can be either very soft and superficial or quite firm.

Aromatherapy
1 hour or 1½ hours
This is very similar to Swedish but with the addition of essential oils it creates another layer of therapeutic effects as each essential oil has an associated target effect on the body e.g. Lavender is very calming and relaxing.

Hot Stone Massage
1 hour or 1½ hours
Hot Stone massages promote blood flow and help warm the tissues. This allows the therapist to work much deeper with less time spent warming up and as the guest is already relaxed, the deeper muscular work will also be less uncomfortable. The hot stones also promote a deep sense of relaxation the ancient Hawaiians (who first used hot stone for massage) also believe the stones draw negative energy from the body.

Ocean Massage
1 hour or 1½ hours
The ultimate sensorial experience is created in the most beautiful of settings. Guests will drift away to a world of total relaxation and comfort in tranquil waters surrounded by gentle tides and tropical fish in the warm Whitsunday sun.

Outdoor Pavilion Massage
1 hour or 1½ hours
Enjoy a superb massage in one of the resort’s outdoor pavilions in the gardens, by waterfalls and lanais or overlooking the Hayman Beach. This new enhancement to the spa experience creates very special Hayman moments.
