Hayman, Australia’s acclaimed private island destination in the Great Barrier Reef, is inviting renowned chef and restaurateur, Michael Moore to present special culinary events in August 2010.
English-born, Michael Moore is one of Australia’s most experienced and respected chefs. He is highly regarded within the food industry for his depth of knowledge, endless energy and motivation. Learning the foundations from family at an early age, Michael’s passion for food began when he was only four.
Now, 25 years into a career spanning two continents, Michael has owned and managed numerous top restaurants, both in London and Sydney, earning critical praise both sides of the globe as well as a number of coveted Chefs’ Hats from The Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide.
Today, Michael is Chef/Owner of the Summit, one of Sydney’s iconic restaurants. High above Sydney Harbour, guests are treated to a 360 degree vista that takes in the entire city and beyond.
Michael is also known throughout Australia for his weekly television cooking segments on Mornings with Kerri-Anne and as guest presenter of Fresh, both on Channel Nine.
Typical of his energy and passion, Michael is an established consultant to the food service industry including hotels, airlines, retailers, restaurants and corporate hospitality. Michael is also a regular speaker and judge at industry events and accepts invitations to travel the world representing Australian produce.

Guests will join an evening aboard a Hayman luxury vessel for a Cocktail Function hosted by Michael Moore with accompanying selected wines and other refreshments, cruising the Whitsundays and taking in the stunning surrounds of Hayman.

The Platinum Series Dinners form a major part of Hayman’s ongoing commitment to presenting unique dining experiences to guests, by aligning with celebrated chefs and winemakers for these exclusive events. This dinner will feature a 6-course degustation menu, being prepared and presented by Michael Moore, together with superb matching wines. The evening includes a visit to the La Fontaine Wine Cellar and Chocolate Room.
