Hayman stars again in luxury travel & style gold list
April 5, 2012Hayman has continued its long standing success in the prestigious Luxury Travel & Style Magazine Gold List having been named Best Australian Resort and Best Australian Family Resort again in 2012.
This follows on from Hayman’s induction in 2011 into the Luxury Travel & Style Magazine Gold List Hall of Fame, after being named Best Australian Resort for the sixth consecutive year as well as receiving the accolade as Best Australian Family Resort.
The Gold List has been voted on by readers and subscribers of Luxury Travel & Style Magazine, together with clients of Virtuoso, the exclusive collection of travel agents, all of whom were asked to nominate their favourite luxury travel experiences across a number of categories.
The Autumn edition of Luxury Travel & Style Magazine, which features the Gold List, carries the following acknowledgement of the celebrated private island in the Great Barrier Reef – “This year makes it seven in a row for your favourite Australian resort. Following a five-month closure a completely restored Hayman reopened in August 2011, complete with eight new ultra-luxe villas.”

Celebration of Champagne
April 3, 2012Hayman is delighted to be joining with premier Champagne house, Moët Hennessy, in presenting a Celebration of Champagne throughout the resort in June 2012.
Hayman’s award-winning Chefs’ brigade will also be creating a fabulous 3-course menu to accompany a selected Champagne which will be featured in Australia’s signature resort restaurant, Fontaine, during the following weeks:

On Saturday afternoon (23 June), Moët Hennessy Ambassador, Greg Williams will conduct a Champagne Tasting in Fontaine’s Private Dining Room priced at A$150 per person. On Saturday evening, there will be a special hosting of The Chef’s Table with Executive Chef, Glenn Bacon introducing a stunning 6-course menu to accompany all of these beautiful Champagnes being presented by Greg Williams. This much anticipated dining event is priced at A$395 per person.

Dannii Minogue stars in modelco celebrations on hayman
March 29, 2012Australian personality, Dannii Minogue headed the star-studded line up of guests at ModelCo’s 10th Anniversary celebrations on Hayman during March.
The week-long activities saw some 60 VIPs partying day and night at Australia’s top playground in the Great Barrier Reef.
All had gathered on Hayman to honour the outstanding success of Shelley Barrett, Founder and CEO of ModelCo and the recognition enjoyed by this premier Australian brand of cosmetics and beauty products, which are available in the top retail meccas of the world.
The visit provided Hayman with a wonderful opportunity to showcase the unique attributes of Hayman’s stunning landscape, vast array of island activities and adventures which abound in the Great Barrier Reef neighbourhood.
ModelCo painted Hayman ‘pink’ for everyone to enjoy.
A beauty-inspired dining experience in the surrounds of the Hayman rainforest gardens featured sparkling lights and a long table glowing neon pink as guests feasted on magnificent seafood, Hayman’s signature Igloo dish and other beautifully presented courses – which included a special selection of ModelCo Lip Gloss filled with a delicious jam and a magnificent sauce in a ModelCo Spray Highlighter, the creation of Hayman Executive Chef, Glenn Bacon and his award-winning culinary team.
The following evening was all about major partying on the beachfront with gentle breezes and slowly lapping waves emanating from the peaceful Coral Sea, whilst, inside, everyone was rocking to the music coming from guest DJ, Jonny Powell and former Sneaky Sound System MC, Daimon Downey, as Moet & Chandon continued to flow well into the night.
The photographers were kept snapping for the entire week as ModelCo Ambassadors, Dannii Minogue, top Australian model, Cheyenne Tozzi and champion surfer, Sally Fitzgibbons posed for ModelCo campaign shots and magazine shoots with Hayman’s beaches, pools, lagoons and gardens providing a magnificent backdrop.

Celebration of Chocolate
February 18, 2012Hayman will be on everyone’s lips in April 2012 as the acclaimed private island destination in the Great Barrier Reef celebrates the world of chocolate, including fun Easter events and an appearance from the Easter Bunny.
A special guest on Hayman during April will be The Callebaut Ambassador for Australia, Kirsten Tibballs, one of the finest Chocolatiers and Pastry Chefs in Australia and Director of the acclaimed Savour Chocolate and Patisserie School in Melbourne.
The name Callebaut has been written in chocolate for more than 100 years and Kirsten will be introducing a selection of these wonderful creations on Hayman during the Celebration of Chocolate.
Events being hosted by Kirsten will include Callebaut Chocolate Master Classes and Callebaut Chocolate Appreciation Sessions.
Hayman’s signature dish for April will be the Hayman Chocolate Salad – a combination of four Callebaut chocolates and six textures with berries, dressed with lavender and native lime – which will be available each evening in all dining venues and priced at $23 per person.
A Tiffin High Tea, priced at $90 per couple, is being presented at 3.00pm each day in the Club Lounge and will include a glass of NV Moet & Chandon Champagne on arrival and a three-tiered presentation of Callebaut chocolate delicacies, scones and savoury dishes.
The Easter Bunny will arrive on Easter Sunday at 9.30am and there is an Easter Egg Hunt happening. A fabulous Chocolate Junior Hayman Chef will give children the chance to test their skills, with imaginations running freely as they create the next best thing in chocolate. This fun time is part of the Hayman Kids Club Ranger Program offering lots of great indoor and outdoor activities for the resort’s young guests.
