Hayman features in Tourism Australia 'there's nothing like australia' campaign

Hayman, Australia’s celebrated private island destination in the magnificent Great Barrier Reef, has been specially chosen to feature in Tourism Australia’s new ‘There’s nothing like Australia’ global campaign launched on 4 June 2012.

The campaign showcases an exclusive selection of unique and distinctive Australian destinations including Hayman, which over many years has offered a beautiful World-Heritage location for the enjoyment of a long line of guests, including business and political leaders, dignitaries and celebrities visiting this top island playground of the world.

Together with industry partners, including Hayman, Tourism Australia will be spending approximately $250 million over the next three years rolling out the campaign in its key international markets and in Australia, commencing this month.

Tourism Australia Managing Director, Andrew McEvoy, said the latest campaign highlighted prime examples of Australia’s very best tourism attractions, experiences and products.

“This new campaign creative – featuring such stunning locations as Hayman – clearly demonstrates Australia’s distinctive and high quality tourism products and experiences that are amongst the world’s finest”, Mr McEvoy said.

Hayman Executive General Manager – Sales & Marketing, Anna Guillan, said Hayman was proud to be one of the featured destinations in the new campaign from Tourism Australia.

“Hayman represents the best that Australia offers – a unique Great Barrier Reef location, a pristine natural environment, world-class experiences, culinary excellence and warm hosted service standards” Ms Guillan said.

Hayman appoints new associate director of sales

Bridget Griffiths has been appointed Associate Director of Sales for Hayman, Australia’s celebrated private island destination in the Great Barrier Reef.

Based in Hayman’s Sydney Sales & Marketing Office, Ms Griffiths will be responsible for managing Hayman’s international sales activity and providing leadership for the conference, incentive and wedding business segments.

English-born, Ms Griffiths has had extensive travel industry experience, initially working in London for high-end tour operators and in senior sales positions at The Dorchester.

She joined InterContinental Sydney as Business Development Manager Corporate in 2002 and was with Four Seasons Hotel Sydney as Sales Manager UK/Europe (Inbound/Conference & Incentive) from 2004, prior to joining Hayman.

Celebration of Nature on Hayman

Hayman, Australia’s celebrated private island destination, presents a beautiful natural environment in the Great Barrier Reef.

The resort is surrounded by 16 hectares of magnificent botanical gardens in which an amazing variety of plant, animal, bird and marine life, abound in their stunning island home.

During July 2012, Hayman will feature a Celebration of Nature with an exciting array of island and reef adventures showcasing this amazing natural landscape.

The whales should have arrived in the waters around Hayman during their traditional winter migration, guests can enjoy fabulous dining experiences outdoors in their specially chosen place and our Rangers will be hosting fascinating garden and Sand Flat tours and fun tours to see the island’s exquisite Proserpine Rock Wallabies, who have been part of a breeding program on the island for many years.

There is lots for all ages to enjoy in nature under blue skies and night stars.
