The most convenient way to travel to and from Hayman is via Great Barrier Reef Airport (Hamilton Island) where Hayman's fleet of luxury launches connect with all inbound and outbound commercial flights. Seaplanes and helicopters are also available for charter.
Upon arrival at Great Barrier Reef Airport, a member of the Hayman team will welcome you and arrange your luggage transfer for your connecting launch, seaplane or helicopter. On arrival at the resort, you will be escorted to your room, suite, penthouse or villa. Your luggage will be delivered shortly after.

The 1-hour luxury launch transfers between Great Barrier Reef Airport and Hayman across the spectacular Whitsunday Passage offer the perfect entrée to your Hayman experience. Aboard our fleet of cruisers – Sun Eagle, Sun Goddess and Sun Experience - refreshments will be served as you take in the magnificent Whitsundays surrounds and all check-in formalities will be completed before you arrive at the resort. You can also book your Hayman resort activities, dining experiences and reef adventures.

There are several access points for travel to and from Hayman via Australian ports. The airport destination for Hayman is Great Barrier Reef Airport (Hamilton Island). Hayman launches, seaplanes and helicopters meet all flights to Great Barrier Reef Airport (Hamilton Island).

Jetstar operates daily services from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to Great Barrier Reef Airport.

Return Hayman luxury launch transfers can be purchased as a through-fare via Jetstar and Virgin Blue or booked directly with Hayman Reservations.
VIA WHITSUNDAY COAST AIRPORT (PROSERPINE)
Jetstar currently operates services from Brisbane to Proserpine. Virgin Blue also operates a daily flight to Brisbane and Proserpine. Taxis are available from Proserpine to Shute Harbour where a boat transfer to Hayman is available. Alternatively, a seaplane or helicopter transfer directly from Proserpine to Hayman can be arranged through Hayman Reservations.
SEAPLANE TRANSFER
Air Whitsunday provides seaplane transfers with all domestic airline services into the region. Transfers can be booked directly with Hayman Reservations or through Air Whitsunday. The approximate transfer time via seaplane is 15 minutes and includes views of Whitsunday Island, Hook Island, Langford Reef and Hayman.

Whitsunday Transit operates a coach transfer service from Whitsunday Coast Airport to Shute Harbour, connecting with all inbound and outbound flights. The approximate transfer time is 90 minutes.

The Shute Harbour boat transfer service operates twice daily with an approximate transfer time of 55 minutes.

VIA MACKAY
Jetstar and Virgin Blue operate flights to Mackay (via Brisbane) with connecting coach transfers from Mackay to Airlie Beach. Air transfers are also available from Mackay directly to Hayman (approx. 50 minutes) or via Great Barrier Reef Airport (approx. 45 minutes). Upon arrival at Airlie Beach, take a taxi to Shute Harbour (approx. 10 minutes) to connect with your Hayman boat transfer.

HELICOPTER TRANSFER
Helicopter transfers to Hayman are available from selected ports. A 3-seater Robinson 44 Jet helicopter is permanently based on Hayman while 2,4,6,8 and 10-seater helicopters are also available for bookings.
