Bottom Fishing

Fish the exceptionally clean waters surrounding Hayman for Coral Trout, Red Emperor, Sweetlip, Scarlet Sea Perch, Trevally and Cod.

September – February
Traditionally spawning time for local bottom fish which means their feeding habits can be irregular. The most commonly caught table fish in the reef waters during this time include Coral Trout, Red Emperor, Sweetlip and Scarlet Sea Perch.

March – August
Traditionally this is the period for local bottom fish to be in prime condition, carrying excess fat to survive the cool water months. The most commonly caught table fish in the reef waters during this time include Coral Trout, Red Emperor, Sweetlip, Scarlet Sea Perch, Trevally and Cod.
